La Leche League of Boone is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help mothers to breastfeed
through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better
understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of both the baby and mother. Meetings are informal and are open to pregnant women, mothers, babies, children or any other women who are interested in learning more about breastfeeding. If you have questions about breastfeeding or just would like to meet other breastfeeding mothers, this is the meeting for you. With a $25 LLL supporting membership, we offer discounts on La Leche League conference fees and discounts through the LLLI Online Store, monthly e-newsletter subscription and access to our book and clothing lending library. La Leche League of Boone holds monthly meetings at 10:30am on the third Wednesday of every month at Green Mother Goods located at 116 West King Street, in Boone, North Carolina. Through community outreach, answering telephone questions and monthly support group meetings, La Leche League of Boone Leaders serve a five county area in the northwestern North Carolina mountain counties of Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, Watauga and Wilkes. |
